29-08-2018 Annalize is a ten year old Northern Inuit Cross who has come in to us from a breeder.  She is totally blind and very confused at her new surroundings.  She is a dear sweet lady who craves attention so we think someone loved her once and she just needs to find that special person again.  Annalize will need a home with another dog to support her and who she can follow.  She will need help with house training and a compassionate and loving owner.  If that's you please apply - you will love her.

13-09-18 UPDATE
Poor Annalize has found to be pregnant.  She has moved to a foster home to have her babies and we will update about her once they have been weaned and are ready for adoption.

12-01-19 UPDATE

Dear sweet Annalize , she came into rescue with matted hair and had to be shaved , especially behind her ears and under her neck /chest , her poor skin was red raw and we had to use a oatmeal cream to soothe it until it healed. he would wince when I gently smoothed the cream onto her poor skin, it made me choke back tear. It's now healed thank goodness and the hair has grown back. The reason this happened was because she was chained up poor girl. This beautiful gentle girl is so loving, and manages to get about quite well though she's blind - but does need to be taught any potential danger areas like steps etc, you can teach her words to help her and there is a download post on the MT website here, about adopting blind dogs, which you can read if you want to apply for her.
She does bump into things at first and has stood on a small dog once but she soon male everything out until you forget her lack of sight .
Annalize is a typical husky type girl I have to tell you ! She is sweet and gentle but can be  very stubborn if she doesn't want to do something or if she does- and you don't want her to!
Although Annalize is a quiet sweet girl, who gets on with any dogs male female big or small , and cats, she at the moment is not settling totally at night , there could be many reasons as to why and we have different locations in the house and different rooms to try for her in the coming weeks to see which she prefers , she sleeps overnight where she is now, but also can wake up and pace some nights more so than others. We will move things around until we find what set up and what room she feels more settled .
We have not crated her and we do NOT think she would cope with this at all as she doesn't like being confined ever - we believe this could be from being chained up previously before being rescued by Many Tears.
She does need a quiet life, nice quiet walks, no young children, a dog friend or several! She needs someone home most of the time or she would suffer separation anxiety and being blind it would be more stressful to not know where you are I think personally, she likes to be around you as much as she can and follows you about too always looking for food if I'm honest !
She will need a secure, collie type secure garden - as we think she would get out for a wander if she could , she has tried to squeeze under one of our gates once, but she couldn't fit and although she wasn't bothered she didn't fit she does sniff the fencing and walks round the perimeter sometimes and we know if she could get out she would - so its something to be aware of.
Annalize is for the most part house trained - but you do have to send her back down the garden sometimes if she gets wet feet or hears a cupboard opening, as she will run back in instead of going to the toilet the little minx ! She does still have accidents overnight but not always, she was so very  frail and just skin and bone , after having the puppies as they took everything from her bless her, so she has had to gain weight and strength in order to be spayed and we have been working on this so hard for her, happy to say we think she could be ready in the next fortnight or so to be spayed.
She runs up the garden now and plays with the others which is a dramatic change from when she was so weak on arriving she couldn't of run without falling.
She's a beauty inside and out no doubt . This wonderful, beautiful gentle soul deserves a not five star - but 10 star home ! and we aim to find that for her, after all she's been through . We adore you Annalize

08-03-19 UPDATE
Annalize is such a sweet girl and loving home life,  but is totally obsessed with food ! She thinks of food 24/7 ! She may be an older girl but is on the hunt walking round the house from early morning till bedtime looking or asking for food ! Annalize is no longer in the hall with her mate but in the living room with some other dog friends and as predicted, likes this arrangement !
She's a darling girl but unfortunately we have not got her house trained yet, there is more than one reason, Annalize wakes early and as a lot of dogs especially oldies - she needs and wants to go to the toilet RIGHT THEN ! She quite often goes in the night too, in the day if you let her out regularly she will toilet outside but does not like a wet day as in -mud or wet grass under her paws !
We have a very old husky girl here and she is mostly house trained but still has accidents sometimes in the day but mostly early mornings or overnight , huskys  like to please themselves  in most things  as we have found out , loving  and sweet as they are-  they can be very stubborn strong headed dogs !
Annalize manages her lack of sight very well really and is so lovely with other dogs and cats . She does occasionally get scared if sleeping and a dog wakes her by walking by her - and she will snap in fright,  but settles when she realises its ok, so you will need a dog or dogs -who wouldn't react to this as she can't help it bless her. She loves to go for a walk and although weaves a bit on the lead she is nice to walk .
She has to have someone around as much as possible or would not cope without her humans and could become destructive in panic .
Annalize is  a real sweetheart , and deserve the best in life  - for the rest of her life .

27-04-19 UPDATE
This sweet old girl is looking better now, her coat has grown and she has put weight on. She still lives and breathes for food and love, bless her. She continues to be only semi house trained and we do not see that changing. Annalize is a darling girl who deserved so so much more than the life she has had previously, but we look to the future now and make sure she is comfy, warm and safe and showered with love. She will need someone home most of the time and can not be crated as she absolutely hates being confined in any way at all.
She does walk nicely on the lead and likes to go for slow steady walks. She will need another dog or more for company and confidence. She lives with two cats and is very sweet with them.
She's a lovely girl, if a bit stubborn but hey no one is perfect!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although ANNALIZE is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
