If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

20-4-19 Helen is a beautiful DDB who has come to us from a breeder.  She is nervous but started to slowly relax with us during her health check. She does eat and take treats from us and so we don't think it will take long for her to relax completely with humans around. She will need a groom as she is moulting at the moment but once this is done she will be stunning. She is inquiisitve about her surroundings and is very alert listening to other dogs in kennels.  Helen will need a home with at least one other large  dog to help her learn about house training and lead walking etc but with time, love and patience she is going to be a wonderful addition to her lucky adopter's home. She is looking for an adult home with no small animals or dogs

23-05-19 UPDATE

When Helen came in she was very shut down, she didn't want to leave the back of her kennel where she and her two sisters would just cuddle up, seeking comfort from one another. Although she is still nervous at times.... just look at her now. Playing with a ball, showing signs of the playful dog that I'm sure she'll become.

04-06-19 UPDATE
This girl used to be so fearful of humans, now look at her! I walk over to get her in from the sandschool and she can't contain her excitement. It goes to show what TLC can do for the scared and sad dogs. Can you be the person to continue showing Helen love?

21-08-19 UPDATE

Today is the first day I'm really meeting Helen and what a beautiful girl she is. She is one of our longer stayers and i have no idea why!
All Helen asks for is a comfy bed, a owner who will love her, and put food in her tummy.
She is a very quiet girl and could suit an older person as an only dog, so if you are looking for a companion to keep you company then Helen might be your girl! Helen will need an adult only home.
She is one of the most quiet girls I have ever known here. She enjoys more of a plod walk rather than a run, this breed doesn't like to exercise too much they like to do little and often, so a nice walk around the block twice a day would suit her well!
Helen loves other dogs and get on well with the ones of her size or bigger, I wouldn't really want to home her with smaller just because of her size and she might squash them.
Helen loves a fuss and will sit there all day to be groomed and pampered. Helen has really come forward since when she first came in, she isn't that shut down girl to what she was when she first came in.
If you think you could offer Helen the best home then please get in touch, this girl has waited around way to much already. it would be amazing if she could spend her winter in front of the TV and fire where she will be warm and loved.

14-09-19 UPDATE
Helen has been with us some time now and although there has been interest in her, there has not been a suitable application so far.
Helen is easy to look after and easy to walk on a lead, she definitely needs a large canine friend, when Helen has had short spells on her own, she really goes backwards. She will spend all her time in the back of the kennel, whereas when she has a kennel friend, she emerges into a fun dog who gets excited at meal and play times and will play with her friend.
Helen in now by donation, as she has been with us some time now. She is a lovely girl who really needs to get into a home so that she can progress

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although HELEN ^ is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
