If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

17-05-19 - Glenda is a very nervous ex breeding beagle. She shows confidence and companionship with other dogs but doesnt know that humans can give her love and affection. She is much happier when aroun her kennel mates so she is looking for a home with another dog to help her settle, adjust and copy new skills like housetraining from. In time she will learn that her new life is so much nice with some love and kindness in it. Should anyone out there have beagle experience and a loving home to offer please get in touch with us.

02-06-19 UPDATE

I think this is only my second time seeing Glenda and even though we have a lot of beagles here at MT I still remember her distinctive smile that she has when she's happy to see someone she knows. Glenda is unsure of her surroundings when she is taken out of her kennel and away from her  companions but she is okay with being handled and loves having cuddles!
We tried going for a walk this morning but it's still all very new to her and so a few steps here and there after a 10 minute spell is a small but positive move in the right direction. She will need time and patience from her new owner with helping her walk confidently on a lead, but with time she will definitely show her true beagle self.  It doesn't help that we don't always have enough time to work with the dogs we write about and so there is a sadness and disappointment from the staff that work at MT that we can't always do more for these deserving dogs but you can!

05-07-19 UPDATE

Perfect beagle alert she's funny happy and gorgeous, her favourite new thing in life is sunbathing digging holes and beagling 24/7. She does sleep when my grandson does if not they're causing mischief wherever they go. Gee gee as we call her loves going out on walks they do take some time still cos things are new every time. She's a beaut don't miss out xx

16-07-19 UPDATE

Gee Gee as she's knows in Foster hasn't had one app she's a funny girl who loves everything about her life now, she lives with other dogs and likes that in the right home she could be a only dog, she's very cheeky and will steal stuff from under your nose to munch on if you're not careful she's happy to sleep all night and go on long walks in the countryside, town city life is not a option as it is the only thing that still freaks her out is traffic. She's a beaut she really is xx

13-08-19 UPDATE
This girl is awesome from beagling all day and sleeping of course! She's my Grandsons best friend.
Gee Gee as she's knows in foster has blossomed. She does still have a few night time accidents but she's completely clean the rest of the time.
She does have a tantrum if you don't let her see someone or something when you are out  walking as she is very nosey but in general Gee Gee is a  great girl!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although GLENDA is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
