01/07/19 - Reeta is a very frightened girl who has come to us from a breeder.  She is a little overweight at the moment so she will be on a careful diet which will need to be continued in her new home.  Reeta has the prettiest face and is going to be stunning when she looses her worried frown. She moves away when you try to stroke her but settles once you have her. She is good with other dogs and will need to live with a kind waggy companion or more  in her new home.

22-07-19 UPDATE

Retta is progressing slowly in confidence with humans. On entering her kennel she moved to the back area where she sat in her basket, she accepted me stroking her. At times she would become nosey thinking that she was missing out, then she would run with her friends to investigate my mobile as I was taking pictures. Currently Retta is sharing with another beagle and a male bichon, she just loves other dogs. Can you offer this precious girl a home where she will be cherished and given the time to gain confidence.

21-08-19 UPDATE

I’ve been working with the beautiful Retta for nearly 2 weeks now and I think she is such a little sweetheart. She is still nervous but she doesn’t run away from me when I approach her anymore.
She adores her kennel friend Kakura, they’re always cuddling in bed together as you can see from the photo. She’s absolutely amazing with other dogs, so if you’ve got a dog that would like some company then please come to meet her!
She’s a typical beagle in the sense that she’s very inquisitive and loves to find new smells. She is also very good at being handled. Retta needs a lot of time, love and TLC put into her. If you’re willing to work with her, please come down to see this beautiful girl. It would be so amazing to see her cuddled up in a forever home with a new brother or sister!

26-09-19 UPDATE
Meet Retta the beagle she has nearly been here now for 3 months and has seen most of her friends be re homed but she still keeps getting overlooked poor girl.
She is so good with other dogs and just wants to know the feeling of being loved and in a nice warm home.
She would need to be homed with another dog as she still relise on them for confidence.
Please help us find her forever home.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although RETTA is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
