If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

25-07-2019 Wingo is a 4 year old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross.  She is happy to cuddle but afraid of sudden movement so we are looking for a quiet adult only home for her. She's never known love or the human touch and doesn't understand about walking on a lead.  She will need at least one  confident resident dog to help her learn about house training and give her guidance learning about home life.

12-09-19 UPDATE

Wingo arrived in Foster on 25-8-19 and is settling in really well. House training is going great she's clean overnight and toilets outside in the day but doesn't ask to go out...yet. She enjoys her food and gets quite excited when it's on its way however, she can get a little fiesty with the other dogs at meal times so she's fed seperatly.
She takes treats ever so gently...
We started going out for walks Sunday. She's a bit all over the place with excitement at the moment but moves forward and gives good eye contact. She loves sniffing around in the grass and being close to the other dogs so she will pull if one of the dogs is too far in front. We've walked along busy roads and she hasn't been upset by the traffic noise.
She must be walked with a confident dog for reassurance. Wingo has started to show her playful side and really does enjoy chasing cats... she's quite quick of the mark. She has been out in the car a few times with no issues at all and she's been left with a few other dogs for a couple of hours and the house was still intact when I returned.
She's a lovely sweet natured girl. She is nervous, spooks at sudden movements and is very hand shy. She comes closer when called and this I'm sure will improve as her level of trust increases. She cowers when approached but no longer runs to hide and she's doesn't struggle when being picked up. She will come and snuggle when she's ready for a nap and has fallen asleep in my arms on several occasions. She has dry eyes so needs eye lubricant several times a day. Wingo is looking for either an adult only home or possibly a family with responsible teenage children. A kind confident resident dog is a must

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
