If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

26-7-19 Quasar has a very sad story. She was hit by a car and lost her top lip on one side as a result which has left her teeth on that side of her face exposed.  She has now ended up here looking for a family who will love her despite her looks and see the wonderful soul she is inside.  Quasar is full of personality but she is just to shy to show it at the moment, She is happy to walk on a lead at your side but is a little nervous of us and uncertain about cuddles at the moment. Give her time and she will blossom into a great companion. We don't know if she has lived in a home so she may need house training but that shouldn't take her long to pick up. Quasar can live with other dogs or be an only dog in the right circumstances. Please dont let her looks put you off she deserves so much more.

ADOPTION DETAILS
The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
